OpenService Names New President and Chief Financial Officer

Marlborough, MA. - October 30, 2006 - OpenService(TM), Inc., the leading provider of Enterprise Event Management (EEM) solutions, announced today the promotion of Mike Schmitt to President and Michael Conlon to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mike Schmitt and Michael Conlon will report to Ted Joseph, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Schmitt brings to OpenService an entrepreneurial background in network management and security, and extensive prior experience with OpenService's NerveCenter. Before OpenService, Schmitt was a founder and Vice President, Network Management Systems at Virtela Communications, a global virtual private network services and solutions provider. He provided the initial vision and leadership at Virtela necessary to define its services and business plan.

Prior to Virtela, Schmitt held the Senior Director, Emerging Technologies position at Qwest Communications, where he was responsible for keeping up with new technologies and examining their feasibility to Qwest's business. Before working at Qwest, Schmitt was the network manager of enhanced systems at Sprint's Internet Service Center, where he developed all network management architecture for network operations and proactive monitoring on Internet services and Infrastructure. Schmitt has held a number of additional network support, management and operations positions, and is a U.S. Navy veteran.

On Mike Conlon's promotion to CFO, Joseph added, "Mike has earned this promotion through his diligence, hard work and solid performance over these past few years. Mike will work closely with Mike Schmitt with regard to day to day operations and work closely with me in our pursuit of strategic partnerships."

Conlon brings over 17 years of running financial organizations for several organizations including startups and growing technology innovators. Prior to joining OpenService in 2000 and being promoted to Vice President of Finance, he was CFO for Solutions 2000 a wholly owned subsidiary of Specialized Software International. Conlon is a graduate of Bentley College.
