OpenService Expands Breadth of
Professional Services; Re-recruits
Growth Dynamo as Sales VP
Marlborough, MA. - June 18, 2008 - OpenService, a leader in log and IT risk management, today announced significantly expanded professional services and the return of Bill Frank as Vice President of Sales. The company named Amine Mekkaoui as the new Vice President of Professional Services who will help customers align their organizations, policies and procedures to maximize the benefits of OpenService technology.
"With Amine extending the scope of our client services and Bill's triumphal return as Sales VP, we look forward to helping more customers make OpenService products the cornerstones of how they operate and secure their networks," said Mike Schmitt, President and CEO. "Bill grew revenue 1,200 percent in the last two years in which he previously led our sales team, and we’ve asked him to simply continue where he left off."
Bill Frank rejoins OpenService from Insightix where he built the North American sales team as a sales VP for the Israeli network access control software developer. Based on the company's strong sales growth, Insightix secured a substantial investment from a top-tier venture capital firm.
"I am thrilled to be back at OpenService as the market for integrated log management and real-time alerting solutions is exploding" Frank said. "Enterprises are not only looking for scalability and high performance, but also an open architecture and compatibility with their corporate standards. Rapid adoption of InfoCenter 5.0 by Fortune 1000 companies demonstrates its value in reducing IT risk, preserving business agility, and making security an enabler of growth."
Amine Mekkaoui brings a wealth of IT security expertise to expand the reach of the company's core professional services. He is a founder and partner at Croyten, LLC, a business intelligence firm, served as COO of consultancy SEI, and led the secure e-business practice for the New England region of Deloitte and Touche.
Mekkaoui's experience enables OpenService to offer broad consulting services to help customers integrate InfoCenter capabilities into their organization-wide initiatives in three main areas: IT service management, security management, and threat mitigation. "Customers who understand the central role of security in aligning IT to support new business initiatives often need help developing comprehensive access, authentication, and threat response policies and procedures," Mekkaoui said. "Our enhanced services methodology assesses customer progress toward their vision of service and security management. The gap between their current posture and their goals guides our structured consulting engagements."
